Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Reunionbase LLC for your use of Reunionbase. Please read them carefully.
Effective July 2, 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Reunionbase is operated by Reunionbase LLC ("Reunionbase," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Reunionbase website, applications, and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Other policies apply to your use and are part of these Terms by reference, including our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and Cookie Notice.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and act as an organizer. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@reunionbase.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
As an organizer, you may invite family members to join your site. Those members use the Service under these Terms as well. You are responsible for the people you invite and the roles you grant them.
3. Subscriptions, trials, and payment
Reunionbase is offered as a paid subscription in the plans described on our pricing page. Each plan begins with a 14-day free trial. A payment method is required to start a trial, but you are not charged during the trial period.
- When the trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method is charged for the plan and billing interval you selected, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. How trials, cancellations, and refunds work is described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- We may change our prices. If we do, the change applies to your next billing period after we give you reasonable notice.
Dues that your family collects from its own members through the Service are set and managed by your organization, not by Reunionbase. We provide the tools to collect them; the amounts, terms, and any refunds of dues are between your organization and its members.
4. Your content
You and your members may upload photos, videos, family news, family tree information, event details, designs, and other material ("Your Content"). As between you and Reunionbase, you own Your Content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, display, and back up Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your members.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to share it, including the consent of the people shown in photos or named in your family tree. Your Content must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. A full list of prohibited conduct is in our Acceptable Use Policy, which you agree to follow. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate it.
6. Intellectual property
The Service itself, including its software, design, and the Reunionbase name and logo, belongs to Reunionbase LLC and is protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to our branding or software beyond using the Service as intended.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties to function, such as our payment processor and hosting providers. Your use of the Service may be subject to their terms as well. The providers that process data on our behalf are listed on our Subprocessors page.
8. Cancellation and termination
You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. What happens to your data on cancellation is described in our Privacy Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important content.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reunionbase LLC and its owners and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Reunionbase LLC from claims and costs arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of another person's rights.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not resolved informally.
Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at hello@reunionbase.com so we can try to resolve the issue.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
